For too long I beat around the bush. I'd tell myself "I'm going to lock in on Monday. Start fresh. Eat clean. Go to the gym every day this week." The same untrue, bullshit excuses held me back from my upgraded physique, mindset and performance for way too long.
I would train hard. I'd eat what everyone around me called "clean" and "healthy." But nothing stuck. I tried diets. I tried extremes. I lost a bunch of fat fast on my first cut in November 2024 — but rebounded instantly over Christmas. I'd eaten less and moved more — technically correct — but I hadn't built the habits, the mental framework, or the lifestyle to back it up.
"Fuck it. I've ruined it."
Then binge for 3–8 days straight.
Binge eating continued on and off for the next year. Some weeks great — then one slip and I'd send it completely. Not just for a day. Days on end. Then punish myself with crazy levels of training to make up for it. Burning out. Crashing out. Then repeating the same cycle all over again.
It wasn't until I made a real mindset shift — a habit shift, a full lifestyle switch — that everything changed. I stopped saying "I'm going on a diet." I started telling myself: "This is just how I eat now."
With that shift came results. Instantly. And it's been easy to sustain — because the habits and lifestyle are now locked in behind the training plan. No more white-knuckling it. No more Monday resets.
